Damages & Exchanges
Your satisfaction is our top priority. We promote only the finest excellent African art products that have been personally hand selected, so we rarely have problems with any of our products. In case your merchandize is damaged or defective in anyway, which could occur through transitional handling of delivery company, we'll make sure you're taken care of. All of our products are backed by a money back assurance. If you have a problem with any of your purchased item, please notify us for further assistance.
If you would like to return an item, please contact us with the following details: your: order number, name, address and reason (which should be within the reasons stated below).
If your return request is approved, we will send you a confirmation email containing a confirmation code and the return address. Please print this email and include it with the item when returned.
We advise you to opt for a signed for delivery, as we are not able to accept responsibility for items that fail to reach us.
We will refund your purchase when we have received and checked the item. We will do everything we can to process refunds quickly. Refunds usually take up to 10 working days (most of the time lesser).
The item needs to be returned to the gallery in its original packaging.
Please find your specific situation from the list of scenarios below to learn how we handle that particular situation:
1. Your item appears to have been damaged on delivery
Answer: If a package appears to have been damaged on delivery, be sure to keep all the original packaging until you've determined whether or not it needs to be returned. If any of the original packaging is missing or lost, we cannot file a shipping insurance claim. Discarding shipping materials or box contents waves your right to get your product replaced or repaired.
2. You received the product but you decided you want it returned
Answer: If you receive your order and decide to return it, you can do so if and only if all of the following conditions are met:
1) The product MUST be unused and still in the original packaging.
2) You MUST contact us, that you would like to return the item within 5 calendar days of receiving the product and instruction will be given on how the product return will be done.
If you return a product without all the above conditions being met, the product will be refused, sent back to you and no refund will be issued.
If you meet all the above conditions, your refund will be issued in this manner:
You will receive the full amount you originally paid for the returned product (minus our actual cost for shipping and handling) as a store credit.
Note: In either case, you are responsible for the shipping return charges of the products back to Afro Treasure Inc.
3. You refuse the delivery of your order, and it comes back to us
Answer: If you refuse an item and it comes back to us, you will be issued a refund LESS a 20% restocking fee. If the item is damaged during the shipping process, no refund will be issued until the shipping insurance claim process is complete.
